A Comprehensive Approach: Online & Hands-On Training
Our training program begins with a blend of online orientation and hands-on field training. New hires start by learning the basics through our training manual, employee website, and an online orientation. Then, on their very first day, they head into the field with an experienced trainer. With a trainee workbook in hand, new employees work through each section of our training, mastering one step at a time.
Orientation: The Foundation of Success
In orientation, we introduce our team members to the tools and values that drive our business. Cleaners learn about the essential apps we use to keep our operations running smoothly:
- Launch27 for booking and scheduling,
- Gusto for payroll and timekeeping, and
- Slack for seamless communication.
Our core values—initiative, customer-oriented service, integrity, community, and transparency—are emphasized as central elements of our work culture. In addition, trainees learn about our safety standards, including PPE and SDS (Safety Data Sheets), along with detailed guidance on the eco-friendly cleaning products we use and why they matter.

Mastering Quality First, Speed Second
We prioritize quality over speed. Our training doesn’t expect new employees to be fast right away; instead, we focus on ensuring they understand how to clean each area thoroughly and correctly. Trainees start with bathrooms and work toward mastering both their technique and timing before progressing to the next areas of the home, including:
- Kitchens
- Bedrooms and Common Areas
- Floors
Each stage emphasizes quality control and attention to detail, and only after graduating from one area does a trainee move on to the next.
Developing Efficient “House Flow”
After mastering individual areas, our trainees learn the art of “House Flow”—a method that allows them to move efficiently through a home. They’re trained on maintaining tidy supplies, understanding the scope of our services (what we do and don’t cover), and the different levels of service we offer. This structure ensures that each cleaner can approach any home with a clear plan and attention to every client’s unique needs.
Building Skills in Client Communication and Account Notes
In addition to cleaning skills, we emphasize client communication and maintaining thorough client notes. Each cleaner learns how to add and update notes to a client’s account, providing insights for future cleaners and creating continuity in our service.

Quality Checks and Ongoing Support
Quality is always our priority, and our standards are non-negotiable. We perform quality checks on every new cleaner’s first solo clean, after any client complaint, and for each employee on a bi-monthly basis. Additionally, we conduct monthly safety checks to keep our standards high. If a cleaner ever encounters a challenge, our field manager or trainers are ready to step in, offering one-on-one support and guidance.
